Congratulations to the Alta Vista High School Lobo Basketball team on their undefeated maiden voyage in the Arizona Interscholastic Association. The Lobos defeated Bella Vista High School 53-46 last night at their Kino Center home finale.
Seniors Juan Pablo De La Rosa, Carlos Carreon, and Glenn Brockman were recognized for their contributions to the Lobo Baskeball program.
Angel Martinez continued his torrid scoring pace with 28 points. Juan Pablo De La Rosa added 11 and Miguel Maldonado hit from outside to add 7 to the Lobo's cause. Shaheed Clemens, Carlos Carreon, Milton Hernandez and Frank Leon also contributed with a bucket each.
The Lobos would like to say thank you to everyone who attended their games and showed their Lobo Pride at every turn.
We would also like to thank our "Home Court" Kino Center and the entire crew who give a great place to practice and play our home games!
Coach Rod would like to thank the entire team and support staff of Valeria Romero, Coach Ed Garrett, Coach Jackson, and the entire Alta Vista administration and community for giving him the opportunity to do what he loves best: teaching and coaching young people in the game of life.
It is a great day to be a Lobo!
Thank you and here's to next season!!!!
Coach Rod
